There’s something so magical about getting an arc from Pippa Grant. I know most of you think I’m out here for the sexy times and hot male athletes, but I have to tell you that I always seek out Pippa Grant for something so much more. She writes relationships beautifully, just as they are – messy, crazy, unsettling, unflinching. She writes multilayered characters with such grace in communities that make me wanna be in a book. Hockey retiree Declan and exploited child reality show star Ginny have a history together, which revolves around his best friend. Declan is keeping his feelings on the down low because Ginny has been with his best friend for four years. After a series of poor decisions, Ginny finds herself on the wrong side of the influencer button and retreats to somewhere safe. Never in her wildest dreams will she expect  to show up and film his silly little reality program foxy does this. Pay close attention in this book to the found family rip straight from the headlines of influencer world. People gives us a rare look behind the curtain of influencers the good the bad and the ugly.
Found family is another one of my favorite tropes that Pippa Grant writes along with interweaving all these communities together. And yes, the book is hot, hot, hot just like it is here in Arkansas at 102.
