One of the great pleasures of my book reviewing will always include this title. In it, we are given full reign over Judi Dench’s life- her great love for her late husband, Michael, and her unabashed love for trees and all things in nature. She comments on everything – the plays, her childhood, her young adulthood; she outlines her wins and disappointments of her career with honesty that feels genuine. It is a right proper interview fit only for a dame. We are given a grand entrance into her love of pranks, her free-spirited but generous accolades for her co-stars, and her magnificent life. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in her inspiring journey and vibrant personality.
It was a pleasure to read this arc freely in exchange for an honest review of what an international treasure Dame Judi Dench.
