Jenny Colgan writes Scotland with such passion and beauty, I feel like I’m there. In this story, Essie has the “perfect life”- job, apartment, swanky boyfriend- until it all falls apart when her job relocates. Tucking her tail between her legs, she travels back to her mom’s house- where she’s never had a particularly close relationship with her mother. Will the change from Edinburgh to a small village be fruitful for Essie?
Anyone who regularly reads Colgan’s novels admire her complexity of characters and situations. Meet Me at the Seaside Cottages is no exception and will be at the top of everyone’s beach reads this summer.
I can’t thank Avon/Harper enough for giving me the chance to read this ARC on NetGalley and provide an honest review.
