I’ve not had the pleasure to read Lauren Okie before but I’ve seen this book everywhere- so to receive an advanced copy on NetGalley thrilled me. Tropesick is a book about the magical world of romance authors, about love through time and chaos; and what deep, selfless friendships look like in both glory and failure. It dives deeply into addiction and the path of destruction left in its wake.

Katie, Tyler, Meredith and Mikey stay with you long after the last word. Good books and great writing are not only magical but symbiotic; literature and the opportunity to read refuels my soul and Tropesick reaffirms this belief. Easily one of the best I’ll read this year. Okie’s nod to the genre will stand the test of time.

Thank you to Avon and Harper Voyager publishing as well as Lauren Okie for allowing me the opportunity to review this book for free in exchange for an honest review- what a pleasure it was to read.
