I adore Sally Hepworth and her writing style. This is NOT a normal book- it’s written from a few points of view. Mabel is 81 and has lived a strange life- lived on the same street for 60 years. The background characters are as much a part of this book as Mabel herself. The challenge with Mabel is that people come and go through mysterious circumstances- could they be murders?
Mabel is one-part gremlin, one part temptress (81) and one part hilarity. Pick this up for your latest book club.
