The anniversary- alex finlay

published 5/12/26

I want a creepy serial killer book that is written so well and so compelling that I stay up well past bedtime to finish it. The Anniversary is the standout release in this genre this year. This is a dual-character story. You follow the lives of Quinn and Jules. They are high school students. They have the unfortunate luck of being connected by a date: 1 May. The next pages will take you on a wild ride of misfortune, happenstance and evil. The May Day Killer is on another level. You will find yourself on the edge of your seat, rooting for our high school heroes as they mature and grow into adults. This book is so good that I simply could not put it down.

This will be one of my top 10 reads of the year. If ever was a book ready made for the big screen, it’s this one.

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press/Minotaur Books for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC on NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
