As soon as I read the following sentence:
“audience of primarily women between the ages of sixteen and sixty-five who devour tales of gruesome murders and insidious cults to alleviate their own anxieties”, I knew one of the most promising new authors this year will be celebrated. Rachel Taff has a sharp pen for delivering a tale so twisted involving a cult while shining a bright light on anxiety and self-doubt. Several sensitive situations: exploitation, child mothers, male superiority, family drama. Sure to be a favorite of book clubs and critics, Paper Cut is deep book about surviving a harrowing situation while trying to keep your “paper cuts” from stinging as much as they do. This could be a blockbuster for Ms Taff.
Thank you, William Morrow, for allowing me the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
